Spotlight   Global Clean Hydrogen Investments and Projects The Global Hydrogen Compass 2025 published by the Hydrogen Council and McKinsey & Company last month documents strong momentum in cumulative clean hydrogen investments and projects (see above). China leads the world in hydrogen production, consumption, and committed investments ($33 billion USD by 2030). Chaos in federal policy and funding will impact the current $23 billion of US investments. Europe, India, and the Middle East have investments in the range of $11-19 billion each; and Japan, South Korea, South America, and Oceania have investments in the range of $1-6 billion each. Liquid Hydrogen Shipping, Aviation, and Microgrids Various logistics and supply chain shipping and port infrastructures continue to be in the news with recent new announcements related to Australia and Japan, and the Middle East and Europe. In the aviation sector, more companies are completing fueling demonstrations at various airports and private facilities. And the largest LH2 long-term outage backup microgrid has come online in California. See the LinkedIn posts section below for more details.
